KarenKaren is dynamic. She is focused, methodical, and wise beyond her years. Committed to building her life so specifically. Then, she is the one laughing the most, eating the most, and reminding everyone not to take it all too seriously. Karen is easy to be around, she’s attentive, independent, and really good at loving her people. Having spent half of her life living in Mexico, before moving to Canada, Karen speaks fluent Spanish and is passionate about experiencing different cultures, and traveling. She is most excited in life when trying something new. She loves to cook meals from many cultures, often joking “what country are we in tonight!?” She loves board sports, surfing, snowboarding, longboarding… When she got on a plane to meet us and begin her Little Icons training, just a few short weeks after we reached out to her, we knew she was bold and willing to take chances. She’s an adventurer. We are so thankful, because her heart, energy, and dedication to this art is something to behold. Karen’s Dad is one of the most influential people in her life, they share the same humour and outlook, and he is probably the first person she will text when she has news to share. Having a father that led by example as a businessman, Karen is no stranger to hard work. The family business actually sparked Karen’s love for working with children and fostered leadership qualities in her. The gratitude Karen shows up with, for her family, her experiences…opportunities, it’s inspiring and genuine. She loves the innocence and sincerity that kids hold. The idea that she could spark extra confidence and happiness in them during their sessions, on top of delivering beautiful photos, lights her up. Karen loves that one single image can preserve an emotion, a bond, a connection, a beautiful moment in time. It’s that simple. |
