EMMABased out of Bath, UK, Emma is a children’s portrait photographer for Little Icons. Emma has a quietly magnetic presence. Warm, attentive, and deeply kind, she’s the sort of person who makes you feel instantly at ease. Friends describe her as the one you come to for a good chat, a good cry, or a good laugh, often all in the same conversation. Outside of photography, Emma finds joy in long countryside walks with her dog, Poppy, who she lovingly believes is a four-legged mindfulness teacher. She also enjoys tending to her ever-growing collection of houseplants, experimenting in the kitchen, and tracking down great spots to eat and drink with friends. Emma is naturally drawn to the honesty children bring into the world. She loves how kids express their emotions so openly, with nothing forced and nothing held back. Their joy, curiosity, and beautifully real reactions serve as a reminder of how freeing it is to simply be yourself. Having been a shy child herself, Emma understands how meaningful it is to feel truly seen. Her husband has influenced her in such a positive way, encouraging her to feel celebrated, and she carries that forward in her work. In every session, she hopes to offer children a moment that feels empowering and joyful, where they are honoured exactly as they are. Her wish is that each child walks away with confidence, pride, and a sense of possibility they can hold onto long after the session is over. When we met Emma, it was immediately clear how naturally she fit with the Little Icons team and values. She brings a calm, creative energy and a genuine respect for who each child is. We’re so grateful to have her behind the lens, creating portraits that feel honest, thoughtful, and full of heart. |
