AshleyAshley is the founder of Little Icons. She is a children's portrait photographer based out of Edmonton, AB. Ashley believes in living and creating your own life as an art form. She is idealistic, takes chances, and puts her money where her mouth is. Ashley is an enneagram 4, and wants to be a song writer when she grows up! It's safe to say that she left half of her heart in Nashville. Ashley is happiest when dreaming and believing in new possibilities. She feels very lucky to have an incredible husband who is "ever the magic maker" for their 2 wonder-filled, beautiful humans: a 3 year old boy who breaks her heart (in the best way) with his sweet soul, and an 8 year old girl who is truly the best person she knows. Ashley has been an entrepreneur for over 15 years but has never been more excited about creating something than Little Icons. In her career she has been fortunate to work with several magazines, and recording artists, including having photographed Lady Gaga, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, and LP to name a few. When her background in fashion photography and iconic portraiture collided with her urgency to capture her baby girl in photographs, Little Icons was born. Ashley has a loving, playful, and kind nature. She is genuinely interested in children and what makes them tick. She isn't afraid to be silly or vulnerable. Ashley approaches every session with curiosity, and a drive to create the best possible images that represent truth in the individuals she works with. Being a mom and witnessing her own children, it has become so important to her to see, embrace, and protect their magic. And most importantly, to reflect it back to them. This is exactly what she does with Little Icons! |
